Public nature conservation initiative «Emerald – Natura 2000 in Ukraine»

We are ecologists, geoecologists and members of environmental non-governmental organizations.

We work on Emerald network topic since summer 2015. With help of scientists-biologists, who has consulted us on species distribution in Ukraine, that shows, that Emerald network in Ukraine must be enlarged, we took part in two biogeographical seminars on efficiency evaluation of Emerald network in Ukraine.

We have conducted 2-day educational seminar for biologists and environmentalists regarding principles of construction of Emerald and Natura 2000 networks in Kiev (september 2015) and are going to conduct second similar seminar in Herson in july 2016.

Now we preparing maps and data to add new territories in Emerald Network in Ukraine and preparing to take part in biogeographical seminar on steppe region and Black sea, which will be in Kiev in September 2016.
